Livestock farming

 Livestock farming is the raising of animals for use or for pleasure. Animals such as chicken, cows, pigs, goats, donkey, sheep and horse 

Animals are farmed for their meat, hides, milk, Egg and as work animals. 




Importance of livestock farming

*Some produce manure fuse in the field.

*Improve agricultural land biodiversity.

*Skin from cattle, pigs, and sheep used to manufacture handbag, shoes and coats.

*For fun and entertainment.

*Animals are important for science and medicine.


*for food security.

*source of foreign exchange /income

Transpiration -is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts, such as leaves, stems and flowers. Osmosis- water enters the root cells by osmosis and moves into tubes called xylem vessels to be transported to the leaves. Translocation- Is the movement of materials in plants from the leaves to other parts of the plant.
